Paradise anyone? Last week I got back from the gorgeous InterContinental Presidente Cozumel Resort Spa. This resort has it ALL, especially for divers. The rooms at the property were extremely spacious, we stayed in a Luxury Ocean View room (500 sqft) and offered gorgeous views of the beach and water.
The main part of the resort offers a swimmable beach with crystal clear water and an inclosed area to keep larger sea life away. Right next to the beach is an infinity edge pool overlooking the water. So no matter where you go, the view is amazing. There are two additional beaches that are less crowded but still offer the crystal clear water with an inclosure. The resort also has overwater or pool cabanas that can be rented for the day!
The restaurants at the resort were sublime! Everything was absolutely delicious no matter where you went. Breakfast was served at El Caribeno every morning, and it was open for lunch and dinner as well. For dinner we ate at Le Cap Beach Club, Alfredo di Roma Trattoria and Faro Blanco. The seafood bisque and Pad Thai at Faro Blanco, were to die for!
Lastly I need to mention the diving! Although I’m not certified yet (It’s on the list though!), Cozumel sits next to the 2nd largest reef in the world. Only behind the Great Barrier Reef. This resort is the perfect place for divers of all experience levels. If you’re looking to get certified you can sign up at the resort which has a PADI dive shop located on property. They even offer night dives to those looking for a little more adventure! It truly is a can’t miss experience while visiting Cozumel. I’m already planning to go back and get certified at the resort!
